Update 8/29/2024

Murphys Sanitary District expresses gratitude for your patience during unforeseen delays encountered  for this project. Rest assured, the District remains fully dedicated to ensuring the success of this project, considering it a top priority. This correspondence is to provide an update on the project’s status.

Governed by the California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act, the district has the flexibility to accept bids up to $200,000 from a list of qualified district contractors. However, since the original construction bid received exceeded this limit, the District is obligated to follow a formal bid process. Despite our original intent to promptly commence the project, the formal bid process being more time consuming led to an unintended delay.

We understand some residents have postponed personal property improvements anticipating the construction. We value your cooperation with our timeline by postponing these improvements. It is essential to acknowledge that any alterations, damage, or removals during the construction phase of project will be returned to their original condition as stated in the technical specifications by the Contractor.

Your input and participation are valuable. If you have any questions regarding this project, please don’t hesitate to contact our office.
